Saving world book day

  Saving world book day
Wednesday2nd March 2022

Police mad Milo had his heart set on being a Police Officer for world book day, let down by the delivery of his own costume, panic set in. Quick thinking by the Sherburn Neighbourhood Officers brought Milo and his Mother's attention to DAAC. After a phone call from Milo's mother explaining the situation, DAAC sprung in to action to help out.

Making the experience extra speacial for Milo, staff at DAAC brought an array of police uniform and equiptment for him to try on. Unfortunately Milo was unable to take this uniform home to wear for World Book day therefore we loaned Milo his very own Mini Police uniform. With world book day in mind, we also gave him his very own Jet and Ben book to take to school and show all his friends.

Just to top off the experience Milo was given the oppurtunity to look around a Police van. With thanks to PCSO Brian Donnelly and PCSO Rachael Brown from Chester-Le-Street NPT for making this possible.

We wish Milo the best of luck for world book day.
